Spicy Sesame Tofu Stir-fry and others

I love stir-fried shit. In the past week I've made a sesame stir fry and a teriyaki stir fry. The one up top is the sesame, which I didn't like as much. Too spicy/sweet for me, but Andrew loved it. And ate it. All.

I haven't really been talking much about the regiment, but everything I've posted is what we've been eating. So enjoy these regiment approved recipes.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

[[Spicy/Sweet Sesame Stir-fry]]

* 2 Tbs. olive oil
* 2 Tbs. sesame oil
* 2-3 cloves garlic
* red pepper to taste
* 1 tsp. grated ginger
* 1/3 cup light agave nectar
* 3 Tbs. bragg's liquid aminos
* 2 Tbs. sracha -- this is a lot, you may just want to add 1 Tbs.
* assorted vegetables like onions, peppers, mushrooms, carrots, some tofu
* whole wheat flour for dusting the tofu
* another 2 Tbs. oil for frying

-- for the sauce, heat oil and cook garlic 1-2 minutes. Add the sesame oil, agave, and bragg's. Then the ginger and red pepper and sracha. Simmer and stir occasionally.
-- heat a large skillet with oil, add vegetables and cook until tender. Set aside.
-- heat the same skillet, add more oil if necessary, and fry the lightly dusted tofu until crisp on the outside.

-- serve with a side of brown rice, and pour sauce over everything. Garnish with sesame seeds if you like. I forgot.

[[Teriyaki Stir-fry]]
I loved this one. But who doesn't love teriyaki?

* 4 Tbs. tariyaki sauce - check label. some brands aren't vegan
* 3 Tbs. Bragg's
* 1 Tbs. olive oil
* 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
* 1/3 cup white cooking wine
* a few shakes of dried ginger
* assorted vegetables like above
* tofu and whole wheat flour like above

-- heat the olive oil and garlic, 1-2 minutes. Add wine, bragg's and teriyaki and heat. Add ginger and combine. Simmer on low, stirring.
-- cook vegetables and tofu as above:
-- heat a large skillet with oil, add vegetables and cook until tender. Set aside.
-- heat the same skillet, add more oil if necessary, and fry the lightly dusted tofu until crisp on the outside.

-- again, serve with a side of brown rice, and pour sauce over everything. It's really good with a little sracha drizzled on top.

I love stirfry too; I could totally live off of it. I feel like such a vegan cliche.

Yeah I do too. It's slightly uninspired vegan food, but always delicious.
